Who we are
Cadence is a personal and business management application operated by Elendar, LLC, a Utah company. It supports project management, client communications, scheduling, billing, financial tracking, creative work, and personal routines.
Elendar’s business activities include Industrial Dream Labs, Lyndsey and the Wulf, and Wulfenstein School of Music. This policy covers information processed through Cadence and associated client-facing proposals, invoices, and payment pages. It does not automatically cover unrelated websites or services.
Information we collect
Depending on the features used and permissions granted, we may process:
- Contact information, including names, business names, email addresses, and phone numbers.
- Project details, proposals, contracts, signatures, tasks, meeting notes, uploaded files, and time records.
- Invoices, payment records, expenses, and related financial information.
- Email messages, attachments, calendar events, and contacts from accounts an authorized user connects.
- Personal goals, journal entries, routine check-ins, and measurements voluntarily entered into Cadence.
- Assistant conversations, uploaded content, and audio or transcripts when voice features are used.
- Technical information needed to operate and protect the application, such as authentication records, request logs, and error reports.
We collect information directly from users, from authorized business activities, and from connected services when access is permitted.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve Cadence’s functions, including:
- Managing projects, client relationships, appointments, and communications.
- Preparing proposals and invoices and recording payments.
- Tracking expenses and supporting bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Matching incoming payments with outstanding invoices.
- Supporting personal routines, creative goals, planning, and productivity.
- Providing AI-assisted summaries, recommendations, and authorized actions.
- Maintaining security, troubleshooting problems, and meeting legal obligations.
Financial reports depend on the completeness and accuracy of the underlying records.
Bank connections and payments
When bank connections are enabled, Cadence uses Stripe Financial Connections to access financial accounts selected and authorized by the account holder. The current integration requests transaction access, which may include transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, statuses, and basic account identifiers such as institution name, account type, and the last four digits.
We use connected transaction data for financial management, expense review, and payment reconciliation. Connecting an account does not itself authorize Cadence to transfer or withdraw money.
Bank authentication takes place through Stripe’s connection process or the financial institution. Cadence does not request bank passwords through its own forms or chat.
Stripe also processes payments when its payment features are used. Stripe’s collection and handling of information are described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
AI assistance and connected services
Cadence uses OpenAI-powered assistance. Content submitted to the assistant, and information provided to it through enabled tools, may be processed by OpenAI to answer questions, summarize information, make recommendations, or perform authorized work.
Connecting a bank does not, by itself, send its transaction history to the assistant. If financial information is included in an assistant conversation or made available through an authorized AI feature, that information may be processed by the AI provider.
Google and other connected services process information necessary to provide their respective features. Their own privacy policies also apply. Available permissions and enabled features determine what Cadence can access.
When we share information
We may disclose information:
- To service providers supporting application operation, AI assistance, communications, payment processing, and bank connectivity.
- To clients, collaborators, accountants, or other recipients as needed to carry out an authorized business activity.
- When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or maintain security.
- In connection with a business reorganization or transfer, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use connected bank transaction data for targeted advertising.
Storage, security, and retention
Cadence currently operates in a locally hosted environment. Connected providers may also process or retain information in their systems. Local hosting does not mean that all processing occurs on the local device.
We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations. Deletion requests may be subject to those requirements. Copies in backups or service-provider systems may follow separate deletion schedules.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request.
You can disconnect supported integrations through Cadence or revoke access through the connected provider. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection but does not automatically delete previously retained records.
For Stripe-held Financial Connections information, you may also use Stripe’s Privacy Center.
Additional privacy rights may apply depending on your location and applicable law.
Children’s information
Cadence is intended for adult account holders and authorized business users, not for children to create accounts independently. Authorized adults may enter limited information about students or family members to support lessons, scheduling, or household routines. Please contact us with concerns about a child’s information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Cadence’s features and practices change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice or request consent when required.
